Dr. Moherlie Coles

Dr. Coles brings to the University of the Potomac a distinguished career in education spanning two decades. With a decade of experience in the classroom, she has taught students ranging from Pre-K through middle school, and an additional ten years in special education. Throughout her career, she has consistently demonstrated her leadership abilities, serving as a team leader, mentor teacher, and coordinator. Her exceptional skills in the classroom have earned her the prestigious Prince George’s County Educator’s Association Educator of the Year award, recognizing her coordination and excellence.

Since 2018, Dr. Coles has been an influential force in higher education, teaching, advising, and educating future teachers and leaders in public and private schools. Her dedication to shaping the minds of tomorrow’s leaders extends beyond the classroom walls, as she has worked as a facilitator with Leading Educators to cultivate future leaders in the District of Columbia Public Schools.

Dr. Coles holds a bachelor of science degree in Elementary Education from Morgan State University, a master of science in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Technology from Grand Canyon University, an Education Specialist degree in Teaching and Learning from Liberty University, and a Doctor of Philosophy from Northcentral University (now known as National University). Her impressive educational background and vast experience in the field of education make her a valuable asset to the University of the Potomac and the entire educational community
