Robert Haussmann

Robert (“Bob”) Haussmann did his undergraduate work (a psychology/computer science double major) between 1997 and 1991 at Drew University, then his graduate work in psychology at Yale University between 1991 and 1995.  While he went the traditional route with his own doctorate, he has been lucky enough to have been involved in distance education as an instructor and administrator for approximately 35 years. In that time, he has served in all aspects of higher education, from professor, to Psychology department chair and ultimately Dean of the School of Psychology at Northcentral University (now National University).  Even while serving as an administrator, though, he never lost touch with his passion in teaching.  Over his career he has successfully chaired over 285 committees and acted as committee member or methodologist in hundreds more.  Having been married for 25 years, he is lucky enough to be have a loving (and forgiving) wife, and one daughter (currently studying Music Education at Ithaca University).  The family currently has two dogs, a purebred English Labrador and a rescue Husky mix to keep things interesting.  When not working, Dr. Haussmann is an avid reader of all science fiction and watcher of documentaries.
