About Professor Thaddeus Okon
| Thaddeus Okon, PhD, is a linguist and educator who enjoys helping students become confident researchers and writers. He earned his doctorate in Linguistics and has taught at the University at Buffalo, New York University, Montgomery College, and Prince George’s Community College. His experience includes working with adult English-language learners as well as students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees. Dr. Okon creates supportive classrooms where students are encouraged to ask questions, develop their ideas, and see research as a meaningful process rather than a purely academic requirement. His background in linguistics and his work as an educator and editor shape his practical approach to teaching. At UOTP, he teaches Principles of Research and Writing and helps students communicate their ideas with clarity, purpose, and confidence. |
