Larry Barnes

I am a native of Central Florida and my professional life has been centered in the Central Florida area. I began my legal career in 1977 working as an associate for a local law firm. In the various law firms I worked for the practice of Real Estate and Probate Law became my primary area of interest. In 1984 I began working for Attorney’s Title Insurance Fund in their legal department. In this position I handled real estate title questions and also title claims amounting to millions of dollars. In 1989 I opened my own law practice and have practiced as a sole practitioner primarily in the Real Estate and Probate Law areas. In 1989 I started teaching as an adjunct instructor at Seminole Community College in their Legal Studies Department. The teaching involved students who would start their careers as paralegals. I also taught as an adjunct instructor at Valencia Community College teaching business law. I thoroughly enjoyed sharing my experiences with students and preparing them to start their paralegal careers. Since 1989 I have been teaching online for various online colleges and I am currently an instructor with University of Potomac. Personally, I have been married to my wife Gayle for over forty years. We have an adult son Jeff who is employed by Red Bull the energy drink. Gayle and I have a cat named Hollie who runs our house. When I am not practicing law or teaching at Potomac. I like to play golf (poorly). I enjoy attending sports events especially Orlando Magic games and concerts. Reading mystery novels and listening to music are other leisure time activities.
