The University of the Potomac supports you as a student by providing a central ecosystem of academic and industry experts, resources and tools to be successful. Our Applied Research and Practitioner-Focused  Model, along with a robust community of scholars and industry leaders, supports you in learning innovative approaches that will provide you the requisite tools to become a prolific leader in your organization, industry and community. In addition, our hybrid and flexible online courses assists you in working towards your doctor anywhere at any time.

An applied research and practitioner-focused doctor from the University of the Potomac offers a holistic approach to research needed to drive innovation and develop new ways of responding in today’s increasingly integrative and matrixed world of work. Your doctor journey is supported every step of the way with experienced faculty leading your courses, who also supports you as a mentor, and will serve on your dissertation committee. Our hybrid and online programs incorporate dynamic in-person residencies in select locations for students and faculty during various stages throughout your program, along with regional networking events. Some programs are not available in all states. You will also be supported through an all-encompassing array of student resources available online – including doctor student orientation, writing labs, research hub, in-class resources, alumni mentoring and more. At the University of the Potomac, we want you to succeed. If you are currently a doctor student from another accredited institution, you may be eligible to receive up to 42 credits for completed doctor coursework.

Degree Overview

We offer two types of bachelor’s degree programs. The Lower Division Support Courses supply students with admission prerequisites for all majors. The Upper Division 18-Month Programs provide students with the opportunity to complete their Bachelor of Science degree in health information, technology and cyber security.

Within each degree program, a common core of courses provides a solid foundation for work in that field. This core is complemented by a series of courses in specialized areas to enable each student to pursue a program of studies that will provide enhanced professional and personal growth.
