Elycheikh Ahmedtelba, Ph.D

Dr. Elycheikh Ahmedtelba is a full-time faculty member and the Chair of Undergraduate Studies at the University of the Potomac (UOTP). He holds a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Master’s degree in Intercultural and Postcolonial Studies from USMBA University of Saiss, Fez, Morocco, and a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Nouakchott Modern University, Mauritania. Additionally, he earned a degree in Curriculum, Education, and Instruction from Anaheim University, USA. Dr. Elycheikh also served as a Chair of GenEd and ESL, an assistant professor and senior lecturer at Al Khawarizmi International College, Abu Dhabi University, UAE.

With over 15 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Elycheikh has taught and lectured at institutions around the world. He previously taught African Literature, Academic Language Skills, Translation, Critical Thinking, English for Business, Research Methodology, Student Success Strategies, English Composition, Research and Report Writing, Language and Culture, Preparation for Work and Academic Readiness.

In addition to his academic roles, he is a senior linguist and curriculum developer for various institutions in the United States. His areas of expertise include corporate behavior, educational leadership and administration, student motivation, technology integration, assessment, course mapping, and E-learning strategies.
