Our First Graduate Program – the MBA!
University of the Potomacreceived approval to offer its first graduate program last month. And as a follow up to my prior post, we now have our MBA degree! The MBA will be fully online and offered in a cohort model. You might be asking, is there value in having an MBA degree? While some might argue that there is a glut of MBA degree holders, it is still one of the most popular graduate degrees for good reason – it is a generalist degree and can be valuable in a number of disciplines. For example, doctors and lawyers often find the MBA degree helpful to them in managing their practice. The MBA is internationally recognized as well and provides a level of security that the degree holder understands the fundamentals of business – accounting, sales and marketing, finance and economics. An MBA degree can help you advance your career –when considering candidates for promotion, many companies will see if that person has kept current and kept learning.
